Las Vegas, NV, Monday April 2, 2007– KLAS-TV, CHANNEL 8 AND LASVEGASNOW.COM TO DEBUT BEAT THE TRAFFIC® REPORTING SYSTEM IN HD

 

KLAS-TV Channel 8, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, and LasvegasNOW.com will soon debut the most innovative automobile traffic reporting system in Nevada in HD.

 

The Beat the Traffic® reporting system offers many rich and unique features, including award-winning real-time 3-D animated maps with high-definition resolution, with unique landmark icons, helping viewers navigate their commute plans.

 

The station-specific three-dimensional maps include full-featured topography, and easy to read roadway exits and signs. The system also includes KLAS-TV branded web site elements, for consistent on-air and online information display.

The 3-D system will also be used for local breaking news mapping.
